Our Reason for Giving
God is a Giver. Scripture teaches us that God so loved the world that He GAVE. It is this heart of God that gives us the good we don’t deserve, like His grace and forgiveness through His Son, Jesus (John 3:16, Matthew 7:11, James 1:7).

Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
Giving & Stewardship
Practicing What We Preach
Coastal Community Church takes biblical stewardship and missions seriously. This is why as a church, we give 10% of all tithes and offerings to local, regional, and world missions and ministries. We’ve seen God provide so abundantly in our church and truly believe that you can’t out give God.
The Bible asks us to give our first and our best back to God, and He will bless the rest. We do this by returning to the Lord 10% of what He's given us because it belongs to Him.
When you tithe, you’re trusting God with your finances. In fact, it’s the one area in the Bible where God tells you to test Him (Malachi 3:10). It’s impossible to out-give God, and you’ll never regret trying.
If you're not tithing already, a great way to start is try it for a three-month period to see how God grows your faith, your heart, and your relationship with Him. Trust God by putting Him first in your finances and He will show Himself faithful by providing abundantly for you and your family (Malachi 3:10).
Financial Accountability
To assure proper stewardship, Coastal’s Stewardship Team reviews and analyzes monthly financial statements to direct the mission of our church, stewarding the resources given to the church by our people.
Each year, an annual budget is presented to our church partners for review and questions. The operating budget is fundamental to our accountability, transparency, and integrity.
When it comes to missions support, most of Coastal’s missionaries are approved, affiliated and overseen by World Missions of the Assemblies of God or the Potomac Ministry Network of the Assemblies of God. The remaining ministries are vetted.
